Why Amitabha Buddha, and not other Buddha's names? Shakyamuni introduced Amitabha Buddha to his disciples and followers, and laid special stress on the Sukhavati. He emphasized that adoration of Amitabha Buddha is a shorter and easier way to cross over the sea of suffering, to end the cycle of birth and death and to reach the other shore of Buddhahood. He did not teach us to recite his own name 'Shakyamuni', but directed us to recite that of Amitabha Buddha, because it is more likely for us to achieve by that particular name. No founder of any other religions has directed the people to worship another instead of himself. Shakyamuni's recommendation is obviously full of compassion, free from selfishness, and reliable. There are numerous Buddhas in the ten directions. All right-minded sentient beings can draw near and study with them. Why has Amitabha Buddha been singled out among all Buddhas? There are three reasons: 1. Because Amitabha Buddha has made forty-eight profound, all-encompassing vows; 2. Because sentient being in this world have great causes and conditions or affinities with Him; 3. Because the teachings of Buddha Sakyamuni in the Saha World and Buddha Amitabha in the West are interrelated.

So at the record store, i saw this months ago, but never bought it, finally after going there 3 times, i decide to buy it. why? becuase someone out there might want to hear this. also becuase i dont see anyone posting this yet. This girl's "I dont trust" series was the spark for "Sick" and i dedicate the whole thing to her! Hermione wakes up in the Hospital Wing. At first, she has no clue where she is, why Draco Malfoy is standing there, or how she got there. Then, she remembers everything...and, is horrified at what she remembers. Yes folks, insane Hermione has had some sense knocked into her. Life threatening duels can do that (at least in this series they can. dont question it.) She realizes that Harry is seriously..not the kind of boy she wants to like. And that SHE was screwed up too. She doesnt want to see Harry anymore, and she tries to delicately break it to him. Yeah. 'Blown Minded' is from the album SHAPESHIFTING, on Paper Bag Records! From Carine Khalifé, the filmmaker: I met Steve and Catherine when I first arrived in Montreal. They were about to release their new album, and I was more than excited when they asked me if I was interested in making a video for them. They sent me their songs, and I immediately had a crush on "Blown Minded". We met a couple of times, discussed ideas, and then I started this project! First, it was all about finding the right technique. Animation offers so many possibilities. When I first heard the song, I was hit by the wonderful texture of it, and my first task was to chose the imagery that would be rich enough to suggest the depth of the song. It was obvious to me that paint would be the key. So I experimented a lot before jumping into to the darkroom. Basically, my technique was to paint on a piece of glass fixed to a light box. I would paint on the glass with oil so that it wouldn't dry, and I could play with it for hours. A camera, fixed overhead above the animation table and plugged in my computer, would capture my paintings frame by frame and create the animation using the software Stop Motion Pro (the aardman studio software). This process took place inside a dark room so that there wouldn't be interference or changing lights on the paint. I'm not going to tell you than within days of making my mind movie that I manifested everything magically and all my dreams have come true. I will tell you what my journey has been so far. The first thing that this mind movie did for me was to give me a chance to sit down and really think about what I wanted out of life. To sit down and actually write down my goals, dreams and aspirations. This is something that I had always thought about getting around to .. but never actually had. So here are a couple of things that I manifested so far. When I first saw the mind movie package, I really wanted it badly .. but I didn't have a credit card at the time to get it and blah blah. Neways so I kept raving on about how cool it was and then for my birthday which was like 2 weeks after I came across mind movies I found that my brother had bought it for me as a present. I was soooo excited!!! I spent the next 4 days creating my mind movie. I was seriously obsessed with getting it done and completed and wanted to make it perfect. Neways after those 4 days and 255 slides later my mind movie was completed. In that four days I think I probably would have watched my mind movie at least 300 times while I was editing it.
